OpenTelemetry with JSS head and .NET Core (SUGCON 2025)

Back in April we were at the SUGCON Europe conference in Belgium. It is really a good conference, there are a lot of good talks focusing on how work with the products and everything related and it is really nice to see and meet old and new friends within the community. If you are considering a Sitecore conference I recommend to start with checking out the SUGCON conferences.

It is a community conference, the planning team consists of colleagues from around Europe doing this on the side of their dayjob, but Sitecore do support the event. This year there were even some exciting announcements, I took note of the Marketplace where we saw the SDK in use, the Design Library future and some teasing around a new content storage that Sitecore is building.

All of the sessions from SUGCON was recorded and the team has editing and published it, so you can see it all yourself. Go and check the SUGCON 2025 Youtube Playlist.

I had the pleasure of speaking together with my colleage about using OpenTelemetry to gather insights from multiple systems into a single overview using almost any of the vendors out there for monitoring. We built an example using both external API, Java, .net core, JSS, and Sitecore XM. You can see the example repository and the published video of the talk here:
